Winslow Wheeler, Director of the Straus Military Reform Project at the Center for Defense Information, is editor of the new book "The Pentagon Labyrinth: 10 Short Essays to Help You Through It." He contributed two of the 10 essays, "Congressional Oversight: Willing and Able or Willing to Enable?" and "Decoding the Defense Budget."
Pierre Sprey, father of the A-10, [and] co-father of the F-16, contributed "Evaluating Weapons: Sorting the Good from the Bad."
Franklin "Chuck" Spinney, a former DoD official and now host of "The Blaster" blog, contributed "Why Is This Handbook Necessary?"
All three were my guests on Pentagon Solutions today. You can hear the entire conversation by clicking the audio player. Click here to read "The Pentagon Labyrinth. Click here for more information on the book from the Project on Government Oversight.
Personal note: Pierre Sprey runs a cool record label and audiophile company called Mapleshade.
