In 2005, the BRAC recommended the Missile Defense Agency move most of its operations out to Redstone Arsenal in northern Alabama.
The cover story of the August issue of GovExec notes that many were stunned by the move.
Since then the area around Huntsville has started to become a center of gravity for some key agencies.
