Gadson first double amputee to command Army garrison

Gadson lost his legs when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Iraq in 2007. He has been fitted with technologically advanced prosthetics that allow a more natural gait. Gadson chose to return to active duty. He is also the director of the Army's Wounded Warrior Program.
