DoD leaked sensitive information, conservative group says

A new film about the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden is reviving Republicans’ suspicions that the Defense Department is leaking sensitive information.

The conservative group Judicial Watch has published documents it got from the Pentagon and the CIA through a Freedom of Information Act request.

They show that the two agencies asked the White House for guidance on cooperating with the film’s director and screenwriter.

The papers suggest a government translator who was on the raid and top intelligence officials met with the film’s team.

Screenwriter Mark Boal told Reuters the documents showed public-affairs finagling and filmmakers trying to do their homework. “Zero Dark Thirty” is scheduled for release later this year, after the presidential election.
