DoD seeks expertise for STEM education

The Defense Department is calling on all feds working in science, technology, engineering and math to help build the next generation of STEM professionals.

The DoD Education Activity oversees schools for military children here and abroad. It wants federal STEM professionals to help plan lessons and activities in critical fields like biotech and civil engineering. Along the way, they hope students will get to see what federal careers are really like, and want to sign up.

The Office of Personnel Management has asked agency human resources leaders to help identify federal employees to participate this spring in events from Fort Knox to Okinawa.
