McFarland nominated for DoD acquisition post

The president has nominated Katrina McFarland to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition.

The president has nominated Katrina McFarland to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition. She’s been president of the Defense Acquisition University since December 2010. Before joining DAU, McFarland was the director for Acquisition at the Missile Defense Agency. And before that, she worked at the Marine Corps for 13 years, rising to director of management and air defense Systems. She also spent two years as a procurement official for the Canadian Department of National Defense.
