The Pentagon and the Environmental Protection Agency have agreed to team up to help create sustainable military bases. A memorandum of understanding the two agencies signed yesterday will commit them to share resources and brainpower to make sure DoD bases have the long-term energy, land, air and water resources they need. And they’ll let EPA use the bases as test beds for new technologies that it can then help spread into the broader marketplace.
