DoD alternative energy investments to exceed $10B by 2030

DoD is one of the largest energy consumers in the world but is a leader in developing and using alternative fuel sources.

The Pentagon has spent more than $1 billion on developing alternative energy and it’s going to spend a lot more, CNET reports.

The Pew Charitable Trusts Clean Energy Program says by 2030 the total will be more than $10 billion.

The department currently spends more than $17 billion a year on fuel.
