(AP) - IF AT FIRST: American Airlines is trying again to throw out its contract with union pilots. A judge denied the company's request this week, saying the airline didn't prove it needed unlimited power to cut jobs and outsource flying.
SECOND CHANCE: AMR Corp.'s American agreed to limit pilot furloughs to about 1,750 and limit its ability to outsource flying to other airlines.
STAY TUNED: The pilots' union is fighting to keep its contract. A U.S. bankruptcy judge in New York is expected to rule in the case next month.
