November 18, 2014 — Today’s guest will help listeners decide what kind of technology training is best for their particular situation.

Dr. Pablo Molina is an award-winning adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University. He has taught in person and online, and his recent dissertation takes a look at comparing different kinds of learning environments.

From cloud technologies to cyber threats, federal information technology professionals have to keep up with a rapidly changing technology environment.

In order to understand new technology, should they learn it alone, through an online course, in-person course, certificate training, or even in-classroom education from an accredited institution?

During the interview, Dr. Molina elucidates upon the positives and negatives of many differing systems. He discusses Coursera, Udacity, EDX, Kahn Academy, Blackboard and Moodle.

Dr. Molina is also a CIO of a local nonprofit institution. As a result, he can bring real-world experience to the necessary environment to learning new technologies.
