Adrian Gardner, the chief information officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, joined Federal News Radio for a free online chat.

During the chat, Gardner discussed his plans for IT modernization, the agency’s resilience and security review, mobility, cloud computing, and business analytics, among other topics.

Adrian Gardner has been FEMA’s CIO since September 2013. He oversees the agency’s technology governance and operations to support missions and programs. Gardner manages an IT budget of approximately $50 million a year. Before coming to FEMA, he was the CIO of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for more than three years and served as the CIO at the National Weather Service.
