Cyber Command conducts first cyber exercise

The joint cyberspace training exercise was held at the Air Force Red Flag Facility at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

Cyber Command conducted its first major tactical cyber exercise called Cyber Flag. The joint cyberspace training exercise was held at the Air Force Red Flag Facility at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

It brought together more than 300 cyber and IT professionals, all focused on mission integration between cyber command and the cyber components of the Air Force, Marines, Army and Navy. Participants said the exercise has been a long time in coming, and they’ve been wanting to participate for years. CTO Vision said Gen. Keith Alexander was happy with the Cyber Flag exercise. The head of Cyber Command said it exceeded his expectations.
