A small part of the Affordable Care Act is funding the creation of a medical health repository for almost 30 million Americans. As part of the law, Congress created an independent nonprofit called the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute that’s based in D.C. It is overseeing the collection and connection of millions of different medical data points, including vital signs, diagnoses, insurance claims, and genetic samples. >The Washington Post reports
