Federal News Radio has been following the development of dashboards -- tools for tracking data points.
The Bush administration had the President's Management Agenda scorecard, which was an early version of a public dashboard for measuring performance.
But these public, open dashboards have really blossomed under the Obama administration -- and it isn't just among federal agencies.
In fact, one of the better dashboards out there is one recently launched by the Washington, D.C. government -- track.dc.gov.
