The Senate's comprehensive cybersecurity bill sponsored by Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (D-Maine) is facing opposition from some Republicans because of the way it would protect critical infrastructure. But Senate leaders are trying to get a full vote as soon as possible.

Brendan Sasso, a staff writer covering technology for the Hill newspaper, said Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz) and Kay Bailey Huchison (R-Texas) are criticizing the comprehensive bill for putting too much emphasis on regulations rather than promoting information sharing.
