November 19, 2010 — With recent statistics reporting high attrition rates for those new to public service, what can agencies do to support and keep young feds? What do millennials want out of their federal career? Young Government Leaders (YGL) and GovLoop are trying to find answers to these questions and provide opportunities for young feds to feel engaged and connected within the federal community.

This week on FEDtalk, host Tony Vergnetti will discuss how young feds are staying active and engaged as part of the federal workforce when he talks with representatives from YGL and GovLoop.

YGL Vice-President Dave Uejoi and Press Secretary JR Wycinsky will share how they are keeping young federal employees active and engaged with events including their Next Generation Summit, Road Shows and other activities.

Steve Ressler, president and founder of GovLoop, will join YGL for the first half of the show to provide more information about GovLoop and how the social network for feds has partnered to provide opportunities for young government employees.
