July 9, 2010 — Recently, the FBI arrested 10 individuals accused of being Russian spies and conducting long term espionage operations against the United States.

In a two part series, Derrick T. Dortch talks to two experts on espionage and counterintelligence about the world of spying and spy catching.

In this first part, Dortch talks to Brian Kelley, a former CIA Officer and former Military Officer who has spent over 40 years working on counterintelligence issues. He is currently a adjunct professor teaching intelligence and counterintelligence at the Institute of World Politics (IWP) and the Bush School of Government at Texas A & M.

In Part 2 of this series, Dortch will be joined by Kenneth de Graffenreid, former Deputy National Counterintelligence Executive for the National Counterintelligence Executive (NCIX), former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Support, Department of Defense and former Senior Director of Intelligence Programs, National Security Council.

He is currently a Professor of Intelligence Studies at the Institute of World Politics.
