OPM is not as well known outside of Washington, D.C., but serves the federal population throughout the world. They have nearly two million members of the civilian workforce of the United States government. Roughly 90 percent of those are outside of Washington, D.C. OPM itself has between 4 and 5000 employees and we use contractors to supplement that in some areas. OPM is about the size if not a little bit larger than the Department of Education.
