Putting a stop to 'stop-loss'

The Army is phasing out the controversial practice of involuntarily extending tours of duty, known as "stop-loss". Defense Secretary Gates has sought to end the practice since he began his term in the last administration. He calls "stop-loss", "breaking faith with a servicemember". The first Army units deploying in August won't have to deal with stop-loss. Til then, soldiers who are 'stop-lossed' will get an extra $500 a month in their pay. I'm Max Cacas
