Fed goes green by biking to work

EPA employee Barbara Klieforth bikes the six miles to work everyday.

You want to go green, but what difference can one person make?

One Environmental Protection Agency employee is doing her part by biking to work.

Barbara Klieforth, who works at EPA and is also the president of the board for the Washington Area Bike Association, told the DorobekINSIDER that biking the six miles to work makes her not only more environmentally friendly but also more reliable.

Feds interested in following in Klieforth’s example can take advantage of the new corporate bikeshare memberships for feds, part of a partnership between federal agencies and D.C.’s Capital Bikeshare program.
