New customer relationship management platform wanted for Commerce department

The Commerce department wants a new customer relationship management platform. It’s looking for a cloud-based system that the public can use to access services across the entire department. Typically those systems let customers make a single user profile they can use to access different areas of an organization. That means if someone comes to the Commerce department looking for small business services and also work with the Patent and Trademark Office, they only need to create one user profile and only have to submit information once. Next Gov reports the National Institute for Standards and Technology already issued a pre-solicitation document for the cloud system. That means they’re not quite ready yet to commit to buying new technology, but the Commerce Department expects to issue a solicitation for proposals during the last week of February.
