The Railroad Retirement Board needs help upgrading its legacy systems. The agency has 200 major applications systems, with about 7 million lines of COBOL. The RRB is asking for $12 million through fiscal 2017 to modernize all of its applications and get rid of its legacy systems. Ram Murthy, chief information officer for the Railroad Retirement Board, tells In Depth with Francis Rose about the first phase of the project.
