The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is seeking public input on significant changes to the directive that provides guidance for federal agencies when it comes to EEO policies and procedures.

The first major changes to Management Directive 110 (MD-110) since 1999, the revisions address newly revised 29 C.F.R Part 1614 (federal sector EEOC regulations).

The revisions cover three areas:

  • Implementation of Revised Regulations – These include new procedures for agencies to submit requests for pilot projects to process complaints and updates to retaliation language regarding dismissals.
  • Conflict of Interest – These revisions address EEO and HR conflicts, as well as conflicts between an agency’s EEO and legal programs.
  • General Updates and Clarification – This section brings the remainder of MD-110 in line with current policies, procedures and legal precedents.

Public comments on the MD-110 revisions can be made through April 25 at Regulation.gov.
